LOWER SCHOOL

K-7

WHAT WE DO DIFFERENTLY:

  • Each class is made up of 15 or fewer students, unlike public or other private schools that typically have 25 or more per class.

  • Summer remediation and advancement is required for all students.

  • Technology is highly incorporated. Interactive white boards are used in classrooms and students are provided digital devices (Chromebooks, iPads, and Fire Tablets) to enhance their learning.

  • Personal attention provided by teachers fosters development of confidence and communication skills. Our teachers are exceptional professionals committed to each student's success. They make learning fun and engaging, and truly care for each child.

  • Chapel is required, and online devotions are completed daily.

GRADES 1-3:

  • A total of 2 hours each day is devoted to learning English (reading, writing, phonics, mechanics, listening, and speaking)

GRADES 4 & 5:

  • Taught by subject specialists – in other words, they rotate from one class to another.

  • Research-based instructional and assessment strategies

  • High achievement results

GRADES 6 & 7:

  • Students are guided to develop good habits such as note taking, consistent time-management, successful handling of tasks and assignments, and relational skills that invite support from teachers and peers.

  • A wide variety of clubs and extracurricular activities are made available for students.

  • Each grade is assigned a class advisor - a teacher who will guide and mentor the students.
